We rewrote that wrong by printing these women’s real names on the front of their work for the first time.
The 25 books celebrated Baileys’s 25th anniversary of sponsoring the Women’s Prize for Fiction.
It trended on BBC News and got 1.3 billion impressions, making it Baileys’ most successful campaign to date.
We worked with a range of talented female illustrators to bring the book covers to life.
Short biographies detailed these amazing women’s lives and struggles.
Boxed editions were given to schools, libraries and influencers across the country.
On the backs of the boxes were the male pen names, crossed out.
Social posts showed the female author’s real name replacing their male pen name. The animations were based on themes in their books.
Free eBook versions were distributed and promoted through all major platforms, from Instagram to Amazon.
Every book in the library had some teaser copy.
